Friday, a friend and I went to McKee-Beshar Wildlife Management area to paint the sunflowers which were at their peak. I ended up painting just the edge of the field. Here it is --

"Paint Herndon!" Plein Air Event


Goose Creek, 30"x24", oil, SOLD •

Trisha Adams was one of 12 artists juried into "Paint Herndon," a plein air competition held on Labor Day Weekend. Other participants include nationally recognized painters such as Ned Mueller and Jim Lamb from Washington state, Morgan Samuel Price from Florida, and L. Diane Johnson from North Carolina.

"Goose Creek," which is fairly large for a plein air painting, was painted in preparation for the event. It is one of preview paintings submitted for the event and can be seen at ArtSpace in Herndon, VA. Here's the link for more info.
